Bank of America Online Banking Service experiences snag and online services slow down across US

Online banking services on all branches of Bank of America experienced a snag for sometime during the day on August 27, 2010.

The service was restored say the Bank. Tara Burke, the representative for the Bank; however, said that the snag was due to temporary issue and that it’s been fixed. She did not inform the nature of problem the US’ largest bank faced that resulted in crashing of the online banking service. Tara Burke also did not relate the issue with the problem that the Bank of America experienced earlier.

Reports say that the online banking service of the bank crashed initially at some places including Maryland, Michigan and California, but sooner the snag spread to wider area.

The authorities at the Bank of America online banking are working on ways to fix the issue permanently so the failure/s will never be repeated. The team is working to bring the Bank’s official website to its full functioning capacity soon.

Meanwhile, crashing of the online banking service for over 3 hours resulted in much difficulty and discomfort among the users. The service has been restored though. The bank’s Twitter page will have the updates and customers might want to check with the same and post any queries at the same page.
