Sinovac a Chinese pharma company gets first license for production of swine flu vaccine Panflu 1

Great news! On Thursday, a Chinese pharma company, Sinovac, got license approved it got approval for producing swine flu vaccine.
Sinovac becomes first company in the world to get production license for swine flu vaccine.

The Chinese State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) on Thursday had issued license for the production of vaccine Panflu. 1 from Sinovac. Before this, Panflu.1 had passed SFDA evaluation and tests.

It should be noted that according to the SFDA evaluation report the vaccine, Panflu.1 could be administered as single dose shot (of 15 mcg) to all age groups (3 to 60 years of age).

The pharma company Sinovac assures of capacity to mass produce 5 million doses of Panflu.1 in September 2009, and about 20-30 million units in a year.

Yet another vaccine from another Chinese company is awaiting license and approval by the SFDA.
