Academy Award winning actor Karl Malden Dies at 97

Los Angeles- Karl Malden, the 97-year-old Academy award-winning actor who was a star despite his man next door looks died Wednesday. He is aged 97.

His characters on theater, big screen and television screen makes him one immortal actor.

Karl Malden, aged 97 died of only natural causes and he was surrounded by family at the time he breathed his last. He was at his Brentwood home, at the time of his death.

Malden family informed the death news to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences as he served it in the ranks of president from 1989 to 92.

Karl Malden is remembered to have tackled plethora of characters over the years.
Karl Malden often quipped about his bulky nose and he said he had gotten such a big one after breaking it couple of times.

Malden won for himself best supporting actor Oscar for the first time in 1951 for his role in “A Streetcar Named Desire.” Yet again in 1954 he was nominated as the best supporting actor for his character he played in “On the Waterfront.”Karl Malden dies at 97
