Michelle Obama tops Forbes most powerful women list

The American First lady Michelle Obama becomes world’s most powerful woman.

Michelle topped the Forbes World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list pushing the likes of corporate honchos including PepsiCo chief Indra Nooyi and also the Queen of England to occupy the top slot.

Michelle topped the list of 100 most powerful women including in the political category. Irene Rosenfeld, the chief executive of Kraft Foods figured second who was closely followed by media superwoman Oprah Winfrey. Secretary of US State Hillary Clinton was at 5 and Lady Gaga stood at surprisingly 7th place, Ellen DeGeneres (10) share the top 10 bill with the US First Lady.

While in the business category Indra Nooyi stood at second spot, in the overall she stood at 6th. Forbes Magazine divided the powerful women to four groups: politics, media, business and lifestyle.

Besides Indra Nooyi, chief executive Axis Bank Shikha Sharma and ICICI Bank Chanda Kocchar also are the other Indian who figured in the top 100 list.
