Strong earthquake felt in Assam and other northeastern states in India

A strong earthquake rocked Assam, the north eastern state of India, Monday (September 21, 2009) noon just a couple of minutes back at 14:26 hours.
The earthquake is believed to be of high magnitude and felt in adjacent states of the North eastern India today noon.
As of now there are no reports of deaths or casualties; however, eye witnesses say that windows and doors of houses rattled with the high magnitude tremors and glass window panes and visible cracks developed in concrete buildings including many residential apartments.
