Was Madonna forced to speak about Gypsies?

Madonna was jeered at a public concert in Bucharest when the singer condemned discrimination against Gypsies.

The star didn’t get perturbed but went on to finish the concert with grace. It was later that her publicist said that the US pop singer was almost forced to speak about plight of Gypsies in the Eastern Europe at her concert in Bucharest, Romania,.

The singer drew boos when she preached about tolerance of the minority group in the continent.

According to BBC Madonna’s spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg said that the singer had thrown remarks after getting an insight into the experience of Romas in the Eastern Europe.

Rosenberg was quoted of saying “Madonna has been touring with a phenomenal troupe of Roma musicians who made her aware of the discrimination toward them in several countries, so she felt compelled to make a brief statement.”
