Pink for the dinks

Diatec is a well known keyboard maker especially for the gamers. The makers have thought out of box and girly to come with a pink keyboard for the gamers. Their new strawberry-pink colored keyboard FKB108M/JP. Diatec named it Majestouch FKB108M/JP.

Majestouch FK108M/JP is priced at $135; maybe on the pricey side as compared to those under 10 clams generic keyboards, but Majestouch offers keys which just need soft touch and doesnt hurt your fingers. The color of the board and the keys are also much soothing and relaxing to your eyes, so it doesn’t hurt to add pink!

Majestouch FK108M/JP comes with PS/2 adapter and a matching pink colored USB cable.

So all dinks out there think pink!

Electronic waste disposal a burgeoning problem

Electronic waste disposal a burgeoning problem

The world is suffering from a strange issue that wasn’t known 20 years back. It is about electronic waste disposal or recylcing of the electronics considered useles.

These include but are not limited to cell phones, PC monitors, electronic games, televisions, to circuit boards, chips etc.

Majority of these electronics contain toxic metal overloads so simply are unfriendly for land fills. Besides, the electronics gadgets that are considered waste also contain loads of plastic and non-decomposable metals. To dispose these without causing damage to mankind is a challenge to any government.

There are some new entrepreneuring ideas that sprung off this issue; those that collect and recycle the electronics wastes and junk. These businesses pay you to clear off your electronic junk. They break down the televisions, useless computers, mobiles, etc either to reuse or recycle or sometimes just sell some of the usable parts. However, we do not know what these businesses will do of the unusable parts from the junk they collected.

There are concerns surrounding the health of those people working with such electronic waste disposal businesses. No doubt they are exposed to several hazardous chemicals and toxins. There is also no monitoring agency or authority that takes care of safe disposal of the hazardous electronic wastes; as much as 6 billion tons and still adding.

However, awareness about safe disposal and handling of e-wastes can help governments to give it a serious thinking and they may soon come up with some human-friendly steps to handle the disposal and recycling of this hazardous waste in the coming years.

Smartphones that can really bury Apple iPhone

Find the best cell phone plans at BillShrink.com

Launch of new smartphones over the last half of the deacade marked a shift of paradigm for the mobile phone world.

No doubt Apple’s revolutionary product iPhone paved the way for innovating a common man’s smartphone. Because Apple iPhone was exclusively for the enterprise class users.

Smartphones that could be used to phone, email and browse the web have been a huge hit and eversince Apple iPhone there came a league of smartphones that joined the bandwagon.

The many smarphones that are sweeping the market are acknowledged as much as iPhone killer, and the new kid on the block is the Droid.

Looks like its time to check if iPhone will have its foot grounded in the smartphone market.

Google Android
Google didn’t concentrate on hardware design but designed Android OS (Operating System).

What Google has been doing is to partner with hardware makers to roll down newer smartphones, and the Android OS running smartphone is the Motorola Droid, and it is pitted against the Apple iPhone.

RIM and Blackberry
Then, BlackBerry smartphones simply outsmart Apple iPhone when it comes to sales and the RIM builds its own startegies to beat iPhone in attracting consumers and its recent models; Blackberyy Curve, Blackberry Storm and Blackberyy Pearl are raved by Blackberry consumers. However, Blackberry still needs to evolve to impress the browse-savvy consumers. If only RIM can innovate a better browser interface it can think of kick butting the Apple iPhone.

Palm smartphones
Palm had been ruling the smartphones market for so long and Palm takes credit to release first smartphone in US and with time they only became better.

Palm Treo was the first and then with the touchscreen interface the smartphone Palm Pre hit the market. The Palm Pre features new WebOS. However, Palm Pre didn’t live to the expectations of smartphone lovers. Then Palm Pixi had been the new bet in the smartphones market. It featured same WebOS operating system, but Pixi had been aimed to attract the low end of the smartphone market. Palm Pixi is an affordable smartphone which has some of the Palm Pre features.

If Google evolves its own hardware, it might well kick off the Apple iPhone from the smartphone market, and even RIM and Palm will have to improve hardware. Maybe Palm if improved it can well become iPhone killer.
