Gypsy leaders applaud Madonna for coming in support of Roma community

Roma leaders in Romania have come up in praise for the pop singer Madonna for condemning the indiscrimination shown towards the Gypsies in Romania and in general throughout the Eastern Europe.
The Gypsy leaders said that a star like Madonna coming in support of the Romas mean a lot to the Gypsy community.
The pop star was jeered by 60k plus crowd as she spoke in support of Romas during a concert at Bucharest.
Madonna’s comments received applause by a few religious gurus and even the Gypsies couldn’t conceal their grateful feeling for the star.
Florin Cioaba, the King of the Gypsies (unofficial though) was quoted of saying “Madonna is the only international personality to have raised the problem of discrimination against the Romas in Europe.”
