The Green Lantern movie: Ryan Reynolds will play Hal Jordan

It’s out and clear that Ryan Reynolds will be given the Hal Jordan role in comic hero based ‘The Green Lantern’ movie.
Ryan Reynolds outscored over 2 other finalists Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper to play the Hal Jordan in “The Green Lantern” movie which is based on DC Comics hero of the 1940s.
We’ve seen Ryan Reynolds recently playing the Deadpool in the X-Men Origins- Wolverine and he also won rave reviews for his role pairing Sandra Bullcok in The Proposal.
The Green Lantern movie had been waiting for its hero and the team gave a big search to net someone like Ryan Reynolds. The director of the movie Martin Campbell didn’t give it up so easy but took long time and the studio team indeed differed in their choices.
“The Green Lantern” comic was a Bill Finger’s creation of 1940s, and the artist had been Martin Nodell and The Green Lantern movie is now Martin Campbell creation.
However, Hal Jordan happens to be 2nd generation test pilot; and Hal will be given lantern and a power ring by alien, Abin Sur. Hal Jordan will be sought by the alien as someone who is honest and fearless.
The Green Lantern movie is slated for June 17, 2011 release.
We will need to wait and imagine to relate Hal Jordan and Ryan Reynolds until the first poster of The Green Lantern movie is released.
