Hurricane Ida is now a Category 2 storm

Hurricane Ida,
is now a Category 2 storm after gaining strength on Sunday while heading towards northern Gulf across the Gulf of Mexico.
According to the National Hurricane Center in Miami the maximum speed of the winds was 105 mph and the tropical storm Ida was heading towards the north-northwest at 12 mph speed.
Bobby Jindal the Governor of Louisiana declared emergency in Louisiana.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami forecasted a change in direction of Hurricane Ida as well as speed in the next 24 to 36 hours.
On its change of track the Hurricane Ida could bring in heavy rain to states of Mississippi and Louisiana. It is expected that the tropical storm could get weakened by Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. However, Mexico discontinued its warnings as well as watches for Mexico as regards the storm.
