The amazing popularity the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia has prompted a right-wing Zionist group to revise its information per ethnic interests of the Zionists.
One Israeli Zionist group expressed the intentions to revise information on Wikipedia depending on the Zionist interests.
In fact, Wikipedia has been an important source of information for citizens of several countries including Israel and its ever growing popularity prompted the organization Yisrael Sheli to modify and revise the web pages on the online Wikipedia pages conforming to the Jewish and Zionist interests
Yisrael Sheli started training Israeli citizens on how one can make a post of one’s choice on the Wikipedia reports BBC.
According to one of the founders of the Yisrael Sheli organization Wikipedia doesn’t give respect to Israelis’ views, in particular that of right wing.
According to Naftali Bent, the Director General of Yesha Council that watches the Jews’ resettlement in West Bank region, Wikipedia has a Israeli map that doesn’t even include Golan Heights and the West Bank regions, although Israelis take these as their piece of land.
