Julia Roberts embraces Hinduism

Julia Roberts turns a Hindu? She did.

During her movie shoot in India Julia Roberts has taken a giant leap towards Hinduism and presently the Pretty Woman claims that she and her family worship as Hindus and visit temples too.

Roberts’ seems to be swayed a lot by the Hinduism when she was in India while shooting for the film Eat, Pray and Love during the last year. The Oscar-winning actress confirms her new faith in the religion and says she is practicing Hinduism and visits the temple to chat, pray and to celebrate.

And the gorgeous actress has also christened her production company as Red Om Films, explaining that ‘Om’ is a highly spiritual syllable for the Hindus and that it pervades the entire universe.

In 2009 Associated Press had an article stating that Roberts’ children were already re-christened with Hindu names, it seems Swami Dharam Dev in India had named her twins Hazel and Phinnaeus as Laxmi and Ganesh respectively, and her another son Henry was named Krishna Balram, all pretty much Hindu oriented. Now what will Julia be rechristened as? Janaki? And will America love this Hindu darling? Got to wait and see!

Americans are fanatically fantasists and adventurers. Being excessively liberals, they are never satisfied with their personalities. They often try to show the world that they have the power, liberty and magic of creating the impossible to possible. Therefore, it’s not surprising that Julia Roberts has switched from Christianity to Hinduism. It’s also not surprising to hear that she had switched from Hinduism to another faith that suits her spiritual appetite. America is a nation of full of surprises and I don’t blame anyone.
