How will anyone react to find a lottery ticket worth many thousand dollars in the mail?
Well there can’t be something more pleasant than that moment when Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation Beloit woke up to one such surprise. An anonymous lottery ticket winner dropped his winning lottery ticket in the hospital mail box. The Kansas Power Ball lottery ticket winner wanted to spend the winning amount on worthier cause than merely throwing a lavish party or going on some swanky vacation.
The Kansas Lottery ticket winner donated his entire $10,000 prize money to fund the Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation, Beloit.
The Executive Director of the Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation in Beloit, Ms. Susan Concannon discovered to her surprise the winning lottery ticket in the mail box. According to her, the ticket was enclosed in a non-descript envelope and dropped in the hospital P.O. and bore no return address. However there was a note along with the lottery ticket. The note read, “Please accept this gift for the Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation for the good work you do. God Bless!”
The hospital CEO David Dick expressed pleasant surprise at receipt of the lottery ticket that won Power Ball for draw on July 17, 2010.
The Power Ball winner was worth hugely awesome $10,000 and the hospital couldn’t have asked for a better time for such a help as it is undergoing renovation worth $11 million that is being funded through private donations.
As to the anonymous lottery ticket donor in Kansas, it is still a mystery but officials say that the lottery ticket was bought at one gas station close to the hospital on July 16, 2010.
