The Journey tracks Tony Blair from being PM to an alcoholic now

Blair confesses he became alcoholic post his resignation. The Former Britain Prime Minister Tony Blair revealed that he’d embraced alcohol and started drinking almost regularly after enduring pressures from within the Labor Party for his resignation.

In his book, Tony Blair’s Memoirs, The Journey, which was much awaited was launched yesterday, and it showed the different dimensions of the UK’s former PM.

In the 784-pages book, ‘The Journey, Blair showered disrespect(obviously) on his successor, and describes Gordon Brown as one manipulator, and that he’d lost an election that must have easily won by renouncing the principles of the New Labour party.

Blair’s book will give an account of relationship between him and Gordon Brown who failed to steer the Labor party and the government at best.

Blair’s memoirs reveal that Brown had even blackmailed him and that he sought solace in alcohol after many coup d’etat attempts against him and his team.

Tony Blair though says that he made a mistake in calculating the aftermath of Iraq war and says he did shed tears for the Iraq war victims; the former diplomat though admits his call on the Iraq war to be right.

Blair’s confessions in The Journey sparked off anger among his political contemporaries and he was accused of the self pity and his mockery and tears over the war victims, many saying it must be crocodile tears.
