The globally acclaimed pioneer in green energy economy and a charismatic communicator and a knowledgeable human rights activist, Van Jones, who’s been the presidential adviser for the promotion of green jobs resigns amidst controversy.
Van Jones was under scanner for his comments about the Republicans and then he signed in some harshly penned petition that kind of suggested government links to the 9/11 attacks. Although he said that the petition didn’t reflect his thinking, ever since he was under fire by opposition, especially Glenn Beck wing.
Beck intensified aggression on Jones and on Thursday when an apology was issued regarding the petition Jones has distanced himself from it. Sadly Obama’s government remained double minded as regards supporting Van Jones and hate against the innovative thinker is being spread like wild fire that he finally resigned.
It was on Saturday midnight that Van Jones the Special Advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the Council on Environmental Quality submitted his resignation.
Van Jones’ book on green jobs, ‘The Green Collar Economy’ in 2008 became one of the best sellers of the New York Times and it is being translated to 6 other languages.
