It’s true, according to US researchers that, taking safe doses of the most common pain killer,
acetaminophen, will restrain the muscle loss that comes with aging.
The finding confirms after a study on animals; being published in PLoS One that acetaminophen,
in right doses could actually help restore decreasing kinase B enzyme of skeletal muscles that is associated with aging.
The study finds that acetaminophen,
could build enzyme levels back to youthful levels when taken judiciously.
According to the lead scientist Dr. Eric Blough of the Marshall University in Huntington, they have used a model (one that mimics age-related changes in human physiology) to demonstrate that regular intake of acetaminophen,
doses is safe as well as beneficial to treating muscle loss problems with aging. Besides, acetaminophen,
could also reduce age-related hyperglycemic problems.
