US Government health officials asked all; aged above 6 months to take an influenza vaccination that has strains of H1N1 and other variants of flu to give immunization to swine flu and other chronic flu infections.
Earlier, government had focused on immunization of high-risk population including small children, elderly and pregnant women, people suffering from chronic ailments, etc. However, per message by one Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology, University of N. Carolina, Dr. David Weber, everyone (aged over 6 months) should get a flu shot.
And the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (advisory team for the CDC) recommends one Universal flu vaccination for H1N1 as the virus infected even low-risk population.
According to Dr. Weber, the flu shot dose for adults will be one, and it will be 2 doses for children aged between 6 months and 8 years Weber said.
