Arjun Atwal becomes first Indian to win on US PGA tour

Arjun Atwal scripts his name in the history of golf. He becomes the first Indian to win the US PGA Tour title.

The Indian golfer Arjun Atwal takes home the Wyndham Championship trophy that he won at Greensboro, and the Wyndham Trophy win means that Atwal will get two-year exemption on US tour, the golfer lost card last during the last month, and thankfully, now after winning on the US PGA tour he regains the PGA play card.

He came with a bang to win the title from poor form and it has been a remarkable out-of-books kind of fortune for the 37-year-old Indian golfer. Arjun won for himself $918,000 prize money too besides featuring on the PGA play card. David Toms came in at the second spot on the PGA tour.

Atwal said credits his caddie to keeping him calm and composed and hold his nerve, although he was quite nervy and not playing his best shots.
