Cricket Australia appoints Greg Chappell full time selector and member of the National Selection Panel

CA makes Greg Chappell full time selector in National Selection Panel for Australia Former cricketer and former coach of Indian cricket team Greg Chappell was appointed as Australia’s first full-time selector by Cricket Australia (CA).
Andrew Hilditch will still be the Chairman of Australia’s National Selection Panel and Greg Chappell will join the panel of 4 selectors.
Greg Chappell, an all-rounder of his times takes credit of playing in 87 Tests and 74 ODIs. Chappell will vacate his current role as CA Centre of Excellence Head Coach in Brisbane to take on the new role, according to Cricket Australia.
Chappell coached Team India for a couple of years, but became popular as the controversial coach stint, and his tussle with the then Captain Saurav Ganguly fetched him more haters than fans at least in India.
Nevertheless Chappell moved on and continued to indulge with the game and has been working as Head Coach with CA Centre of Excellence in Brisbane till today’s new appointment. Chappell said he’s excited about the new job and said looking forward to take up the new challenge and the job.
