England’s Ashes Winning skipper Michael Vaughan quits from all forms of cricket

 

Michael Vaughan, England's finest cricket captain calls itThe Ashes-winning top England skipper Michael Vaughan announced he quits all forms of international cricket. This, he announces will come into immediate effect. The former skipper also throws full support to the English team in their forthcoming triumph for the Ashes against the Australia.

 

The 34-year-old Yorkshire batsman has a winning record of greater than 50% with 26 matches winning as against 51 played under his stewardship and becomes the most successful test skipper for the English.

 

His major accomplishments include leading the England to their first Ashes victory in 2005 (after 18 years). In the same year, he led the team to a first test series victory against the South Africa (after 40 years).

 

The decision comes after him being omitted from the 16-member squad for the 5-test series starting July 08, 2009.

 

Michael Vaughan made his debut in 1999 and has to his credit 18 Test hundreds, and he was given the number one batsman rank following the 2002/2003 Ashes Series debacle after scoring 3 centuries and amassing 633 runs in total.

 

England team will forever remember the achievements of their finest captain.
