Three tainted Pakistan Cricketers dropped from playing the Twenty20 and ODI matches against England

Giving in to the pressure from within the home and from ICC and ECB, Pakistan decided to drop the tainted trio from the limited overs series with England that is starting on Sunday, September 05, 2010.

The trio including the Pakistan captain Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamir are implicated in the ’spot-fixing’ of the recently concluded third test with England.

Sting operation by a British tabloid had exposed the trio to be involved in match fixing. While Scotland Yard police questioned the players facing the allegations.

Pakistan team manager Yawar Saeed said that the trio are dropped from the 2 Twenty20 and 5 ODI matches.
