Brawn GP driver Rubens Barrichello wins the Italian Grand Prix 2009

Monza is indeed the oldest racing track and Rubens Barrichello wins here today in the Italian Grand Prix 2009.

Rubens Barrichello finishes ahead of his team mate Jenson Button and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen finishes third. However, in the first lap there had been a mishap wherein Mark Webber of the Red Bull had to drop after his car collided with Kubica’s.

This is the result of the Italian GP at the Monza Circuit:
Rubens Barrichello
Jenson Button
Kimi Raikkonen
Adrian Sutil
Fernando Alonso
Haiki Kovalainen
Nick Heidfeld
Sebastian Vettel
Giancarlo Fisichella
Kazuki Nakajima
Timo Glock

All good for Force India team and the team is riding high for sure. After previous race podium finish given by Fisichella this time too their second driver Adrian Sutil, finished fourth giving them 5 points. What impressed me is that Sutil has been proving to be an asset to Force India be being consistent as well as competent. However, their reserve driver Vitantonio Liuzzi had to retire on his first drive for Force India after mechanical failure during lap 23.

Giancarlo Fisichella who drove for Ferrari for the first time at Ferrari’s home done fairly well; he finished ninth.

Here is the result of standings for Driver’s Championship after the Monza:
Jenson Button at 80 Pts
Rubens Barrichello at 66 Pts
Sebastian Vettel at 54 Pts
Mark Webber at 51.5 Pts
Kimi Raikkonen at 40 Pts
