RIM and AT&T announce the BlackBerry Torch 9800 slider
Months of waiting and watching likes of Samsung, Motorola, HTC and even the Apple iPhone 4, Research in Motion came up with a touchscreen BlackBerry, worth getting kicky about.
RIM with AT&T came up with the latest BlackBerry, touch operated and the first slider phone, BlackBerry Torch 9800.
There is another first to this device, that it will be running the BlackBerry OS 6 operating system.
BlackBerry Torch 9800 slider features a full QWERTY keypad and also a 3.2 inches (480×360 pixels) HVGA+ capacitive touch screen display. The Torch is 14.6mm in thickness and the tri-band 3G phone packs envious connectivity with Wi-Fi b/g/n, a Bluetooth and also GPS; call the Torch 9800 Slider it all rounder when it comes to connectivity.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 comes with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, and the handset can record videos (VGA resolution). The operating memory is though 512 MB and 4GB is storable and 32GB expandable with a microSD card slot.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is an exclusive offer to those who use AT&T services from August 12, 2010. After 2 years contract with AT&T the cost of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be $199.
