Sir James Dyson the man behind the bagless vacuum cleaners has now come up with another innovation; a rotorless fan; its a normal fan but without the regular rotor or wings.
This rotorless fan is named as the Dyson Air Multiplier is as good as any ordinary fan to generate powerful breeze.
The Dyson Air Multiplier was launched yesterday, and the innovator behind the new household appliance, Sir James Dyson said that the idea to develop the Air Multiplier came to him when he was involved in development of the Air Blade dryers; wherein the air is forced through minute opening to dry off the water from the wet hands.
Dyson Air Multiplier works along the principle of pushing the air through a slit (here a 1.3mm-wide opening that is present along the circumference of the fan). Once the air is jet through the circumference of the circle, the air volume that is actually travelling there multiplies by over 15 times with simultaneous increase in the speed too (upto 22mph).
There is a small difference between Dyson Air Multiplier and ordinary fan; air flow from the former would be smoother.
Dyson Air Multiplier comes in 2 sizes and a range of colors. The price tag of this rotorless fan is £199. No rotor blades also means no danger to kids and pets.
