September 2010 will see a launch by Samsung Electronics; the launch of Samsung’s Wave smartphone with the Bada OS (the advanced and Samsung’s home-developed mobile OS), the Wave 723 first in Germany followed by Europe and then the rest of the world.
The Wave 723 aka Samsung GT-S7320E is a smartphone that comes with big 3.2 inches TFT-LCD touchscreen which looks brilliant when the screen is even switched off, an integrated 5-megapixel camera that has auto focus feature and an LED flash.
The Wave 723 also sports 1GHz processor and connectivity features including a Wi-Fi and has an SNS support. The smartphone becomes your e-reader should you chose and the 11.8mm thin body makes it dandy in your pocket. As regards the Bada OS, as one open platform it offers scope for apps (and yeah Samsung does have apps store). However its success depends how much the Bada OS is different from the iPhone or webOS smartphones or even the Google Android OS. From what we know so far, its as much the same and nothing extraordinary. However, Samsung’s idea is to make smartphones accessible and affordable to everyone and the Bada will help accomplish the Samsung’s dream.
As such there is not much details about the new wave smartphone on the company’s press release, we will have to wait until the Samsung Wave 723 aka Samsung GT-S7320E is launched.
