Sony Ericsson A8i smartphone launched for China Mobile

Sony Ericsson A8i is the first smartphone handset from Sony Ericsson for the China Mobile network. The mobile phone manufacturing giant Sony Ericsson introduces first smartphone A8i in collaboration with China Mobile the world’s largest network and mobile phone carrier in China.

Smartphones have been ruling the mass and the class lately as users like to use mobile phones for a variety of purposes including gaming, connectivity, GPRS, and video on phones. The smartphones have been claiming a big chunk of market share and every brand maker is vying to take a big share of the market.

Sony Ericsson had launched the A8i smartphone into Chinese market and it runs on the China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network. The A8i smartphone also supports 3G networks and WLAN connectivity.

The Sony Ericsson Chief Executive, Berg Nordberg was quoted of saying, “China is a hugely important market for Sony Ericsson and we are committed to maintaining our strong position and driving growth by continually introducing new and exciting products into this market.”

Sony Ericsson A8i smartphone sports a 3.5 inches touchscreen and comes with CMMB (China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting) mobile TV functionality feature so the visual effects are crisp and defined.

Sony A8i also comes with ergonomic (human curvature) design and will be feature rich to provide entertainment applications including TrackID.

The Sony Ericsson A8i smartphone includes high-speed, user-friendly OMS 2.0 platform supported by China Mobile entertainment services and applications.
